Our People
Board of Trustees
The Stokes School Board of Trustees play an integral part in the Stokes mission, and is made up of a diverse group of parents, former students, and some of D.C.’s most dedicated leaders in education, government, business and the arts.
The Board of Trustees is responsible for ensuring that the programs Stokes implements are consistent with the school’s mission. Throughout the year, the Board reviews educational programs, chartering authority policy, legislative activity, and daily life at Stokes, ensuring that our mission statement stays relevant and up-to-date.
The Board also works tirelessly to spread the word about Stokes, communicating the school’s mission and programs to the public.
The Board of Trustees meets on the second Saturday of every other month at 9:30 a.m. Meetings will be held virtually until further notice. Meeting agendas, minutes, and recordings will be posted here in accordance with the District of Columbia Open Meetings Act.
Board meetings are livestreamed on our YouTube channel.
For past meeting minutes, please visit the DC Public Charter School Board school site for Brookland Campus or East End Campus. Past meeting recordings are available on our YouTube channel, and past agendas and minutes are available here.
